All of our tours journey into both the Key Deer N.W.R. & Great White Heron N.W.R.. We offer small group sizes and reservations are required. Departs daily all year round. Special full moon, sunset and glow worm tours offered seasonally Join Captain Bill Keogh aboard his 24' explorer skiff loaded with kayaks and ready to explore. Using the skiff we ferry the kayaks out into the remote wilderness of the refuge backcountry where we visit bird rookeries, beachcomb sandy beaches and enjoy unparalleled ocean vistas. Baby Shark, giant sea turtles, roseate spoonbulls, sting rays, eagles, dolphin, sea stars and "crabs that live in the trees" are just a few of the creatures we may encounter. Kayaking, snorkeling, birdwatching, photography and getting away from it all is what makes this a highlight of your Keys vacation. Departs year-round Join Captain Bill from Big Pine Kayak Adventures to search the flats and channels in search of shark, barracuda, bonefish, permit, tarpon and mangrove snapper. We use our 24' Carolina Skiff to ferry our fishing kayaks out to the best flats in the backcountry where we pursue a variety of fish depending on the season. Beginners and experienced anglers will have the opportunity to see a tailing permit, hungry baby shark and hard hitting barracuda. Early morning anglers can cast at tarpon and then wade the flats for bonefish. Reservations and fishing license required. Spinning rod, bait and tackle provided. Departs year-round by reservation.
